Measure your normal bridle, Janet, it is bound to be far closer in size. Will get some photos up of ideal fit with annotations, think that would be the best idea!

Going by the measurements of her normal bridle I would need a cob size bridle with a full size browband, will that be possible to mix and match a bit?

I'm really looking forward to ordering Knight a lovely, soft EE bridle.  But forgive me for being thick, I think I need a little help or explanation to get the noseband pieces' measurements sorted.  From the pictures I can see the noseband sits lower than an english caveson.  Knight's nose measures 25" around  where an english caveson sits, so help me figure out how this will relate to the measurements for this nose band.  I can see he will need a mix of sized and thank you so much, Heather,  for allowing us to be  able to customize and get just the perfect fit.

Hi Nancy,

The noseband doesnt actually sit any lower, it is the same height as a normal cavesson. If you look at the pic of Rei wearing it, you can see that any higher and it would be on top of his cheekbone- it should sit just below it and just about touching the bottom of the cheekbone. I will check the length for you, but I have lost my blasted tape measure and have to get another one!! Embarrassed

Yes Heather, I see that you're so right, Rei's gorgeous picture does show the caveson just where a normal one would go.  Must have just seemed lower to me somehow.  I guess when I was reading the noseband measurements it seemed that an xfull in both pieces came to 20".  Knight certainly doesn't have tiny features it's true, but poor boy how embarassing to have your nose bigger than an xfull caveson when you're supposed to be a pony.  I sure know what you mean about measuring tapes, they all have wings and lives of their own.

Sorry to be a complete lemon on this Heather as I am sure you have answered this already but haven't been able to find it.

I measured my bridle for Beach and Trin and the measurements are a combo of XF and Full size when comparing them to the EE bridle part sizing. Would you think XF or Full would be the best to go with? I mean is there a far amount of adjustability in both?

Sorry to be a pain in the butt ... I just want to make sure I order the right size for them wink

Nudge  whistle laugh laugh laugh

Hoping to scrape Christmas money together to treat, erm, Saffy  cc_confused  Something wrong with that equation!

I'm notoriously crap at measurements (tried three times to send my foot measurements to the US for my custom made skates and got three completely different sizes  doh ) so a numpties guide would be GREAT please Smiley

Also is it possible to mix and match sizes?  Oh, and sorry if you've said this already but I can't find it ... are you doing reins in different widths for the snaffle and the curb?

Thanks x

In measuring the Cheekpiece should it be from Bit to Split? or browband to nosepiece?  I'm confused!
and
Would Throatlatch be split to split too?
Sorry to be so dense about this..  Embarrassed
