I am VERY interested in finding out more about this Heather - I have been feeding mollasses / cereal free diet for years now but have yet to find a complete feed to use.

Is there somewhere I can find out more about the various different feeds along with ingredients lists?

Thanks

Hi trainspotter,

This is truly the first time I have felt confident that there is everything in the bag that my horse would need. The thought of not having to have loads of different bins, remembering to order this or that, that we are about to run out of, is one less hassle to think about. This feed is long overdue in my opinion, and I am so pleased that Barbora led me to it!!

Thanks Heather,

I also have umpteen bins as have never trusted a compound feed before!

I will certainly look further into this, my main points being how much you would need to feed to get the full vitamin spec, and how easily I can get it here in Suffolk. Aso the price of course!

Currently I only give my horse a small handful of feed with lots of different additives!!

I would also keep up with feeding Linseed for the same reasons as you....my boy also can suffer with allergies!

Thanks, Helen

Have had a look at the website and this feed sounds fab but -as usual - I would think it will be impossible to come by in the North East.   Think we must be miles behind the rest of the country cos I wanted to get Equisorb bedding but that's not available here either.

The Easy Lite sounds similar to Badminton Easy Rider - which is oat straw and dried grass plus herbs and a multi vit. (Not mollases or alfalfa).

Have to say if its as good as the ER it will be a great feed (alfalfa and mollases send Thea loopyloo!!LOL!!).

Sounds ace.  thumbs

Does the Badminton also have all the vitamins, minerals, etc etc, so no need for feed balancer or whatever, Sam?

Yes it is a complete feed - but you do have to feed a decent amount, it can also be fed as a chaff. All mine get it - the ponies and Rosie as a complete feed, I added A&P's Ride & Relax to it for Thea over winter as it didn't have enough calories for her as she was still recovering from the ulcers and needed to gain weight (which was hard to find feed that were molasses, alfalfa free AND that she would eat - she just couldn't eat the volume of the Badminton feed needed so I added the R&R because she loved it. (She won't eat feed with oil added either the fussy madam LOL!)

I'd be interested in trying it - it does sound great, as I say its hard to find a decent feed that is mollasses cereal and alfalfa free. Might save me having to add the R&R to it for Thea.  Smiley

It has grass pellets and linseed meal and other goodies in it, too Sam, not just chaff- our horses love it! I am really pleased to have found it.
