16" Fhoenix owners

Those who have 16" Fhoenix saddles:
How big is pony/horse it is used on?
How big is your bum?
Well, what dress size are you?
Have you tried a 17" Fhoenix? How does it compare?
Reason I'm asking is because I currently have a 17" on my pony, and a 16" has come up for sale. And I'm contemplating going smaller. I'm a size 10 and pony is 13.1hh chunky Connie x with a short back.
Thanks in advance

I had one, I'm size 8 and used it on Whisper who is 13hh. I loved it but it looked ridiculous on 16hh Rija, so I sold it. There will be piccies somewhere, I would post it again but I'm at work and can't.

Interested in this post as I have a 17" fhoenix on my 16hh, but I'm bringing our 13-13.1hh stallion back to ridden work this yr, and being a very compact little man, the 17" is huge on him...

Did you have plenty of room in it? Was your's the dressage or GP?

No, that's a 17" dressage (now sold to kite_rider) my 16" was a GP. I'll look for the piccies this evening.

Here you are I've got one of me in it on Drummer. I found it a bit small though and opted for the 17"
It is actually Helens saddle too!

I've got a 16" dressage version for Crow, who's 12.3hh, but she's quite short backed so wouldn't take anything longer.

Thnaks guys. It is diddy isn't it? But the one for sale has adult flaps. Or do they all have?
What dress size are you drummer's mum? The lady who's selling it reckons it would fit upto a sz\ie 14, but looking at those pics of you guys, I doubt it! Ooh, confused now!! Not sure what to do, grrr

The 16 inch saddle was available with either child flaps or adult flaps. If you measure the length of the flaps downwards from where they are seamed to the seat the child flaps measure 36cm and the adult flaps 41cm.
I would not recommend a 16 inch saddle for a size 14 person I'm afraid

I'm a 10
Still not sure whether I'd be too big for it though

Mine had the adult flaps.
I think size 10 is the limit, I'm size 8.
