Which if the following would you recommend most and why...I can really only order one of them and as they come from overseas, have to rely on recommendations and reviews  Undecided

Schooling exercises ....Oliver Hilberger
Training inhand...Alfons Dietz
Inhand....Richard Hinrichs

Let me add one to the mix -- Ellen Schufhoff's new book with Kip Mistral!  It's awesome, and goes into so many details.  It's clear and easy to follow.  Go to Amazon and read one of the sample pages.  You'll be convinced!

Horse Training In-hand: A Modern Guide to Working from the Ground Work on the Longe, Long Lines, Long and Short Reins

eta:  it's about longeing, longlining and in-hand work...

Sigh.....another one added to the wish list!

I have got the Oliver Hilberger one and the Hinrichs one.

Both are fabulous, but for an in-hand beginner like me, I am finding the Hilberger one more useful, as it has progressive exercises you can work through.  Cheesy

I would say the Hilberger one to start off with. The Hinrichs one is good but better with the DVD and doesnt touch on things like degree of bend, impulsion etc etc. The Hilberger on has lots of tips and very good, illustrative photos and diagrams and troubleshoots.
