I posted about this little girl a few months ago.

My friend bought her at 4 months!!!!! [  was told she was 6 months!!]  from a 'breeder' in Birmingham.

She was a pathetic weak little thing that had obiously not been getting enough milk from her mother and it wasn't thought she would live the week when she arrived. On the day she was collected she was almost too weak to stand and had to be carried into the box!!.
she should have asked for her money back, but my friend couldn't leave her, [ pity can be expensive!]

4 months on we all thought she'd come through the worst even though she didn't seem to be thriving.
She had been riddled with huge worms some as thick as a finger that took two doses of wormer to shift, still she didn't seem to be putting on weight. She remained small and painfully thin despite being offered as much hay as she could stuff in her face.
Anyhow a few weeks ago she suddenly went lame, then a huge swelling appeared on the pastern.
The vet said it was most likely a bad knock but it didn't improve, then yesterday another vet went and said nothing could be done to save her, the joint was so badly infected infection had eaten into the joint, she was put to sleep in the afternoon.

An autopsy showed that both front pasterns were effected, the joints were almost totally destroyed, plus she had an infection at the umbilical 'area'.

So free of pain now she joins the rest of her kind running free over rainbow bridge....    R.I.P little Amber.

So sorry - big hugs for your friend who did so much for the poor mite. What a horrific time they both had.
