Farewell to my best friend. Sam.

Today was the saddest day
I had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to my best friend.
I knew this day had to come but it is still so hard to actually do it.
Sam was my best friend for 13 years, I bred him myself, and since a puppy he has always slept every night on the bottom of my bed.
He has helped me through tragedies and shared the good times in my life.
He was always there giving me his unconditional love.
Even yesterday he was sitting in the stable while I mucked out, he never left my side.
He died in my arms and I buried him on the hill with his grandparents, mum and dad, his sister and his aunty.
RIP my baby we will meet again when I come over Rainbow Bridge, but run free
your legs will be strong now.
I will never forget you.
your loving friend
susan

Oh I'm so sorry. You must be heartbroken. Sounds like he had a lovely, happy life though.

What a lovely chap - it must be a special thing to have such a lot of generations of best friends. I hope you have others to comfort you.

What a terrible loss. I can't even offer any words of comfort, except that you will meet again one day - in the meantime at least you know he's with his doggie family.

I am sorry Sue. He was such a handsome guy too. Obviously well loved.
The dog shaped hole they leave in your heart seems so big doesnt it?
Big hugs dear

that is not strange or silly. Dont worry dear he is watching over you now and waiting for you
Think of the paw prints/hoof prints etc you will have when you meet up with them on the other side
That always makes me feel better
