yes.  a shade "old fashioned" but then it was the 1930's.

it's on recommended reading lists (see for instance here: http://www.classicaldressage.co.uk/html/books_to_read.html), which is why i leapt on it when i saw it.

It's interesting as well as, for his day, he was ahead of his time - he was writing when the "forward seat" was still seen in UK as being revolutionary and was not generally accepted, and he was, of course, recommending it for jumping - illustrated with appropriate photos of horses ridden that way, and not....
