I'm sure that Robin  Smiley will be happy to record you when we come down with Adriano and Zimbral as he'll be bringing down his camera to record us.  I'll then be able to burn it to DVD for you after we've returned home.

Thanks Roo, but hopefully, Lucie (lmevans) will be down the last week in May to start the filming for the DVD series, as she is very good with a camcorder, so we should have some other film in the can then to put here on the forum.
I have a semi pro camcorder, and professional sound equipment, so we have the gear, just need someone here more often to be able to operate it!!

I WILL try to get some video shortly, but today asked Sudi for canter half pass for only the second ever time. On both reins, he just did it as though having done it for years. What a horse!!  wub

Thanks Fred!

Well I finally got round to hacking him out today, with Laura on Ginge and Jenny on Fanta. Sudi was the best behaved of the three! He led on the way home, and was absolutely amazing. With all the problems with his temperament originally, leading to a year in long reins only and then the problems with his feet, he has now been here 3 years and had only ever been off the place to do a lecture demo and go to the vets at Cullompton.

I was so pleased with him!! thumbs He is still hot in canter, but I do feel that with the hacking out, it will get easier in the school too!!

Well, Sudi is now so amazingly good, especially on the lunge, that I seriously think I will be able to use him as a lunge horse/schoolmaster. I have been lunging Laura on him, just to see how he behaves, and he is absolutely wonderful, safe, sane, so light, Laura adores him! He appears to really enjoy it. He is so chilled now, that it is hard to remember the hard eyed, almost crazed horse that he used to be when we first had him here and for quite a long time after.

It is so strange, because my old horse Butch, who 'sent' me Sudi in the first place- was a 'problem' horse who was about to be put down when I got to hear of him, and yet, he turned into one of my best ever schoolmasters. I think, unbelievably, Sudi may well follow suit.

He is so different now, Sarah, you wouldnt recognise him- he has put on a lot of weight on the grass and is really laid back! He just seems so happy in himself, I trust him far more than that monster, Fanta, who is proving to be a very good schoolmaster off the lunge, but he wouldnt be able to resist doing something norty, on it!

What progress and what changes!  Are you hacking him out regularly now?  What a star!

Not hacking him out regularly yet Maria, the weather has simply been too dreadful, summer? I dont think so.The rain has been torrential and I am so heartily sick of it!
