By Lesley Skipper.
I've only read the first half but it draws together various pieces of research to show that many of our beliefs about horses are not correct, particularly those about herd behaviours and discusses various training methods again based on research.  Its not at all heavy going either.

I'll let you know the rest of it when I finish it!

I've ordered a couple of Dr Marthe Kiley-Worthington's newer books to read more about her latest research as her work was referenced in the book.  I only have one of her older books.

I did get it from the book club so not sure if it is on general release yet.

Would that be "equine welfare" by any chance? I am just re-reading that. I am glad to say that Marthe Kiley Worthington was very influential to me in how I have kept my horses.

The saddest thing is that most livery yards are not conducive to giving horses the environment they need to flourish and the horse owners are powerless to change the conditions.
