cant really put them in order as they all have bits that i liked but in diffrent ways!

Charles Harris/Workbooks From The Spanish Riding School
first half about his life second half little notes from when he was training at the srs.
brill stuff lots of light bulbs and no matter what level of training you can always get something from it, theres bits that i didnt understand when i first read it but the more i learn the more i will flick back to book and realise exsactly what he means.i loved it

Phillipe Karls dvd sets  abs fab

Anja Beran book loved the detail she goes into on certain things!

Enlightened Equitation book (one of my first horsey books)

Monty Roberts
The Man Who Listens To Horses / Shy Boy                       very touching and ispirational especially shy boy

Jean Claude Racinet book/ Racinet Explains Baucher              again light bulb moments

O you must have read my mind  Smiley  I thought about doing this yesterday and then didn't whistle.

My too aren't in any order.

Enlightened Equitation - I have read it twice, although I do use it quite alot for reference as well.

Perfect Confidence by Kelly Marks - I have read this once through, but any going to go through it properly.  Its certainly made me think about my confidence issues and access how I am going to deal with it.

Real Riding by Perry Wood - This is a really good book.  Its light hearted and makes me laugh, but so true too.

The 100% Horse, How to create the go-anywhere, do anything horse by Michael Peace - Its also made me think about how Cassie reacts to things.  She spooks and runs away, (when she runs, she stops when a safe distance from something she doesn't lik).  I decided to try and introduce things that she may not like in a safe environment, reading this book gave me some useful tips.

Clicker Training for your horse by Alexandra Kurland - I have read this and use it as a reference book, its helped me introduce the clicker to Cassie.  Its amazing how at first you think about teaching tricks and then the list grows to just ordinary things like standing at the mounting block, picking and holding feet up, standing at the scariest part of field and working on bending.  Sorry my post seems to be a bit long  blink

Hey, you cheat twinkle  - that's six!  laugh

Mine would probably change depending on what I'm doing at the time and what is working and what isn't!

but here's my 5 fav books right now...

Enlightened Equitation - brought me to where i am in the first place!

Schooling Horses In-hand: For Suppling and Collection by Richard Hinrichs - so much useful stuff for my young green one and my mature re-school

Dancing with Horses - KFH    he's a fruit cake but an inspirational one!

Schooling the Young Horse - Reine Klimke    fab basic coverage of what we're all aiming for really!

Anja Beran's        stunning pics to inspire and some very useful descriptions and diagrams

Enlightened Equitation - first book that really explained weight aids properly to me and so many other things too

Dont Shoot the Dog - not strictly a horse book but about positive reinforcement training, this was suggested to me by Anna Viberg and was a massive turning point for me.

Be With Your Horse - Tom Widdicombe, dont know what it is about this book I guess Tom has a sort of hippyish peace about him that is infectious and comes across in the book.  I learned some really important things from this book about training my horse and just how to be with him.

Perfect Manners - just love Kellys books, she comes across so well and it all seems so simple.

The Chosen Road - KC Lapierre - a bit controversial perhaps but it has changed my outlook so important to me

Racinet Explains Baucher-simply genius

Enlightened Equitation-same, had it years and refer back all the time.every time I change how I ride something to the EE way, it works. I think Vico must have read it before me Cheesy

Lessons in Lightness-the three above books have just really clicked with me and make so much sense!

The Behaviour of Horses in Relation to Management and Training: Marthe Kiley-Worthington
love all her books but this was the first and really made me think about what my horse needs.

Tug of War: Classical Versus "Modern" Dressage. I am a biomechanics numpty so this helped explain cause and effect and set me up to read the Racinet.
