Human Physio Clinic (£35 per person)Aim : to develop body awareness and improve the comunication between rider and horse to create a harmony & freedom in movementThis is a four person clinic run to look at horse and human mechanics and how they work together. After the theory there is a full practical session which involves an assessment of individuals on the clinic and how there natural balance and posture will affect their horses freedom of movement and performance.
Assessment is done using a variety of techniques on balance balls, saddles and posture exercises. Plus demonstrations using horse and rider at the clinic
The clinic takes approx 4 hours - NO HORSE REQUIRED, is totally informal and good fun.
This is the start point for physio work for humans and can be taken as a stand alone with no horse required. Notes and photographic records are available for individuals
Horse Physio Treatment and Assessment (£45 first time £40 there after)The stud physio will travel out to horses (or they can be bought to the stud) to assess and treat if necessary. This takes approximately one hour and Celia has a full range of portable treatment equipment. Rider/Owners are given exercise programs where required
Private Horse and Human Physio Clinic (£35 per session approx 45 mins)Open to anyone, but is a natural progression from the Human clinic once your posture and balance has been assessed. Approx one hour sessions for Horse and Rider together working on rider balance and position to improve the horses' ability to move. This clinic is design to deal with problems specific to horse and rider eg difficulty in work on one rein, poor leg strike off into canter, why your horse doesn't seem to understand your aids.
NEW Lecture / Demo - Maintaining the Supple Horse (approx 1.5 - 2 hrs £12)This lecture demo will explain and demonstrate the ground based techniques you can use with your horse / pony to improve its 'core stability' and assist in maintaining its suppleness and range of movement. The lecture demo will use basic equipment which most of us own and simple but effective techniques. It is fun to do and is a simple stress free way to improve your horses way of going.
In addition to this there is travel cost :
Everyone who takes part in the clinic pays an equal portion of the fuel cost to/fro to Somerset - this can range between £5-10
If horse is physio'd at Perranuthnoe no further cost, if we travel to you it is charged in 6 mile radius bands at £5 per 6 miles
Other than the school hire for horse/rider clinic held at the Stud (£5 per session) all payment goes direct to Celia, we just provide a venue.
