if we could see ourselves as others see us

I'm taking my yearling to a show and have trained her to trot and stand using clicker training.

The problem is that she's trotting lovely but making faces at me by putting her ears back.  Very unattractive in the show ring.  I've been saying ears and when she puts her ears forward click and treat.  Would this be what you guys would do?

nod It's a good idea and I bet it will work (Lance does the same thing when I feed him rolleyes) but have you thought about foot pain?  Lance did the same thing when I asked him to trot, he would put his head up and his ears back, both can be signs of pain.  As it turned out he was born with both front feet clubbed, one was worse but since he was a baby when I bought him no one could tell.   Embarrassed I don't want to freak you out or anything but having a vet just look her feet over could help.
