Tried the Vogue GPT!

And it was amazing! I honestly think it has more squish than the dressage model.
I set up a few small jumps and Lance did really well considering we have no arena to speak of
and all the ground is uneven. I think the best part of the whole ride was I felt the most powerful, ground-eating trot I have ever felt on him.
Never in my life (honestly!) have I ever felt anything like that, even when I tried the dressage model.
Also, the sweat pattern was very even and the hair on his spine wasn't even ruffled!
I have no idea why he would suddenly go better in this one than the dressage model, different strokes for different folks I guess. Bar none this is the best saddle I have even ridden in, it was like sitting in a couch.
Heather, you have really out done yourself! Shannon, thank you for getting it here for me to try out!
But don't be surprised if it gets lost in the mail on its way back
I wanna keep it!
I do need to find some shorter leathers though, mine are too long and I think I can get some better ones so I think I will go dig the receipt out. I did take a couple pictures but the camera ended up in my mom's car and she is at work now
. When I bought Lance I did it with jumping in mind more than dressage because he loves it so much but I was scared I wouldn't have a saddle I liked. Well that problem has been fixed
now I just need to find a trainer who can help with my bad jumping posture!
I can't even begin to imagine how much stickability it would have with a suede seat on it.

Hi Mary -- did I understand this correctly and you've tried the Vogue dressage model? If so I wish I'd known so that I could have come over and tried it!
Shannon, if ever you have to send a dressage model to my area, could you let me know so that I can take a look? I'm not ready to commit to a test on my own, but I'd be interested in seeing one first hand and perhaps giving it a test ride, if that's okay with the tester.
I just have too many expenses this year to buy one, unless I can sell some saddles, especially the Barry Swain one, then I might be able to swing it. Anyone want an 18" dressage model with huge knee rolls?!
Do let me know!

Oh nuts! I should have told you!
Yes I did try the dressage model, there is a thread about it somewhere here, probably a couple pages back.

i'm in utah, and i don't have my agent demo saddle yet. it's in transit.
there is a meeting in the denver area i was hoping to get to but i just checked my schedule and see i'll still be on the navajo rez for a food run and can't make it. oy, just missed being able to come by a day.
i may be in the denver area during show season, later in the summer - we'd have a better meet up potential then. if you rather not wait and hope i'll make it than arranging a trial w/ shannon now is your best bet.
i'll keep your number and email in case my schedule brings me in your direction.

I'm sorry, things got a little crazy here. I don't have anyone to help so all I have are two pictures of him with the saddle on. I'll get them up
But I am going to be seeing Christina so expect pictures!

Is this the prolite version? I don't see a Suberpanel, and it doesn't look as high as the dressage version did.
By the way, Mary, I have a pro choice girth lying around that I'm not using. Might be too long at 32" though...
Til tomorrow! Looking forward to meeting you at last!
