Here are the photos we took on Thursday late at night, as Tabs was being loaded.
First sighting of the lorry. He was calm and behaved like an
As you can see, I was leading and Lynette pushed him gently from behind.
Don't worry, sweetie... you'll be fine....
The final cuddle... the last goodbye. :'( Bye bye baby... be good for Yvonne!
I had the chance to speak to Lynette today; Tabs seems to be doing fine, and he even brayed on arrival in Madrid! And he is getting lots of TLC from everybody!
He should be in the UK on Tuesday. Tabs is most certainly a Xmas donkey...

Hi Guys
Had a chat to L & P last night not long after they collected Ganancia from Madrid. Ferry crossing on Sunday has been cancelled and they are waiting to see which Sunday crossing they can get - I will update if I get news before you, but potentially it may delay delivery time. They were en-route to some lovely stables in France to rest up.

Sooo cross with the weather causing the delays on the crossings. >:(
Just want Tabs and Ganancia to get safely to their respective homes - hope they are keeping each other company.
(They are going to wonder where the heck they've been sent when they see the UK and more water than they will have seen their entire lives I'm sure LOL!!)

Now I get it, Yvonne. That's why you haven't been much on line lately! You've been shopping! :lol:
His best friend has been braying rather a lot since Tabs left... I'm rather tempted to buy him for me, BUT I *know* I shouldn't... plus he is entire and we have jennies, and it would be a pity to castrate him, because he is stallion material
In the meantime, the shelter's foundor told me of an old, local donkey he knows the owner is planning to sell for the lions... :'(
BUT, guess what... it's the same donkey that kicked me 5 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How spooky can this get???
