Susan Racinet (Mrs JC) has written back to me to talk about a potential clinic here in the UK.............anyone interested?
Heather
Yes if - it's not in the deepest South or farthest North! And if it's at least 5 days (my minimum to really learn!!)

The biggest problem will be getting people to pay him enough to come, his flight, plus cover the cost of venue hire. I am not prepared to have to end up subsidising it all as has happened to me on other occasions, even my own clinics!!- and is why I have been wary of organising stuff for other people, and also doing clinics myself here in the UK. :( >:(
But, I havent the stable space here for horses on a clinic, so it would have to be upcountry somewhere anyway!!
I would prefer it if it could be like a sort of seminar, rather than private lessons alone, something like I did in Sydney. Will put some ideas to him as it might get more people to come, and therefore more revenue!!

It would be wonderful to have something where he could explain the theories as well as teaching - would be all for some kind of lecture/seminar - and a demonstration of the flexions in hand and on the horse if possible - would be wonderful as I daren't do them unless I'm getting them right (Jenny Franklin showed me, but I should have videoed it because I don't remember well enough).

Oh boy, but I don't get it. He's needed in France most! I reckon he could do a lot of good at la Cense. Also reckon it not likely he'll be coming any day soon.
Taliessin, I do translations as a bit of a sideline to being a Mum these days... only pieces that interest me, though... thanks for the compliment -- I do aim to please!

Well judging by the interest also on IHDG, I cant see any problems with going ahead with this seminar/clinic. Have emailed JC!!

Would definitely want to attend clinic as a spectator - if there is plenty of notice for the date I should manage to get almost anywhere you want to hold it. Keep going with the translation please. The first part has made me most impatient for the books I have ordered to arrive!

how did I miss this thread? Avidly reading it thinking how much I would like to hear/see him in person and then find it might be happening. Put me down as a definite yes, this is one guy I have to hear.

The only times he can come next year are Jan and Feb so very short notice for me to have to try to organise it all. Will try to sort out a venue, he needs at least 3 days work, but with his health teaches only 4-6 hours a day, understandably.
I am going to try for the Unicorn Trust in Glos as it has such good lecture facilities too.
I thought a one day lecture/seminar, and then two of private lessons?
Cost of his flight, hotel and venue has to be paid in addition to the lesson, so we need to ensure enough interest before anything can go ahead, and could do with some admin help if it all kicks off!!

"Quiet" time for me at work so can help if that's what is needed... at that time of year, it's probably plenty of hours to be outside anyway! Lots more pub time...

Thanks Sal,
Have just emailed the Unicorn Trust to see if possible for those months. Will put up another thread about this too, in case others havent read this one.
