O/T Why does it always happen to me

there i was sat watching neighbours in my pyjamas(work nights thats why i was in them) with a very large cup of tea up to mouth when the door bell goes.Moss my collie had been sat on the sofa with me along with the 2 JRs,on hearing the doorbell go decided to rush to the door,nothing wrong with that you say just doing his job,yes but instead of going down then to the door he decides to jump over me knocking my tea all over me.
So i then have to answer the door wearing my tea doing a wet pyjama contest,hair dripping with tea   

It was the parcelforce man,luckily John the regular one ,on finding out that i wasnt burnt started laughing his head off.

I (inadvertently) flashed the window cleaner once - thank god we've moved since!  We couldn't look each other in the eye after that!

For anyone else like me, the emperor's new clothes are a bad look if ou have  glass front doors and glazed sections of house wall at the front   The number of times I have had to lie behind the sofa (probably too late) or answer the door in a throw off the back of a chair

Oh Debbie poor you, I'm glad you weren't hurt.  I think you're just going to have to model for us in your jim-jams. So that'll be you in your 'jams, Heather in her new jodhs ....

I put my muddy tracksuit bottoms over my jeans and my muddy, smelly yard coat on earlier to go and see the girls - in the rain - down the yard. I was then going to take off the top layer and go to the garage to fill up with petrol. The car didn't start immediately so I decided to give her a run down the bypass, fill up and go back up the A20 and in the back way to the yard. 

It was only when I got to the yard I realised why I was getting funny looks at the garage - and why people didn't want to get too close LOL.

Many years ago my husband used tio make his own beer,which we kept/cooked in the spare room. It was a few months before Xmas & I was making christmas puddings.That day the man had come to do our central heating so I couldn't go to the shops to buy beer so I had a brainwave,I'd use Ron's homemade stuff.So off I trot to the spare room to get a jug of beer,turned on the tap way too far & beer hit the bottom of the jug & sprayed out all over me .My hair was soaked in the damn stuff,my clothes were soaked & then having given myself a quick towelling I trotted down to the C/H man who was calling me.His face had to be seen to be believed  ( O/H said he probably thought I was the town drunk : ). Both myself & the spare bedroom stank of beer for days,come to think of it it didn't make my hair nice & shiney either

seems the neighbours do anyway from what one of my other neighbours has said today when i told her what had happened.Apparently i do nothing all day except slouch around in said PJ`S  .If only

I had to leap out of bed one morning when one of my pigs escaped and was heading out of the driveway onto the lane - I managed to pull a pair of joggers over my nightie and have never moved so fast!  I was hoping that no cars would appear, 1) because I didn't want Ernie run over and 2) because my nightie had pink flying pigs on it!!    It made me chuckle as I suddenly rushed around the corner rattling a scoop of pig nuts, Ernie got taken by surprise and fell over  .  I must have looked a terrifying sight then!!

I once locked myself out of the house and my keys, phone, coat and bag in the car (it's got - had - self locking when the engine is turned on) when it was snowing and there's me in extremely short slapper mini skirt, see through lacey top, appropriate (aka matching) undies and high heels (crikey that sounds attractive!) ... oh and I've got an awful feeling that I was wearing those black lacy tights that were in fashion at the time.  Can't even remember where I was going dressed like that    That was at 6am in the morning so couldn't get anyone to help me until 9am (I was freezing).  The car is running (bloody thing never stalled) and I'm well and truly stuck.  Eventually got a locksmith to come out at about 10.30am.  He manages to open a small window at the back of the house which was too small for him to get through.  As I told him at the time it should be him paying me for the peep show!  I have to clamber up and through this window ... good thing that I was slim and fit at the time. 

Thing is when I got in I realised that my ex-git had stolen the spare set of keys to MY car (ie he wasn't allowed to drive it anyway) so I never even needed to flash my unmentionables to the very bemused locksmith!

It made me chuckle as I suddenly rushed around the corner rattling a scoop of pig nuts, Ernie got taken by surprise and fell over   .  I must have looked a terrifying sight then!! 

I can just see it! 

One night I was coming around the corner of the house to feed Lance when out of the corner of my eye I saw movement in the shadows, Lance let himself out!  My heart almost stopped, he just sttod there with his ears up looking at me like, "Well, you were late and there is lots of grass by the house so here I am." He was very pleased with himself. :
