I am about to start getting my horse fit after a period of box rest.  Due to new baby ( mine not horses! :P ) I can only ride in the evenings when husband can look after baby, so I cant do any road work at present. I have access to a very large floodlit school and an indoor school.

Any suggestions for a training regime to get my horse fit for prelim tests?

If time isn't a problem, there's an article in Your Horse mag for fittening.

Didn't read it properly though, so I can't comment on the contents!

The fittening depends on the injury or illness that caused the need for box rest and how long it was out of action for Brychen. Can you tell us what it was and how long the horse was confined to the box for?
