Atom attended the Frynwy Equine clinic, near Shrewsbury, on Tuesday 13th February, After sedating him, the vet felt he still had some some infection so has put him on a 20 day course of antibiotics, after which we have to go back to the clinic.he was such a good lad and travelled very well, it was a 6 hour round trip but nice to have the expert advice.
The vet we saw had seen larger heamatomas but not in that area. The operation would involve putting in place some sort of flap to stop the area filling with blood again.
he's doing okay... Siobhan tells me the antibiotics are working very well and he's on course for this operation that is so necessary for his future and well being. Another update will come asap.
It's horrible losing a forum board - feels like your adrift from everyone!
