I know what you mean Chrissie - I've owned my Wintec pro (flocked) dressage since 1996 and it's still going strong (plus my favourite saddle to ride in).

Tara, are you still using the suber pad under the Wintec Wide?  How's that going?   Smiley

I was using the suber pad under a leather treed saddle that I bought a couple of years ago, but found that that partular saddle put me in such an awful position (see piccie below) that I sold it on.

I should really give it a try under the wintec wide (and slaps wrist be using it anyway under the dressage saddle   ).

ETA: Just seeing that photo again - my seat reminds me of an old fashioned hunting seat... or maybe even 'the charge of the Light Brigade'!

Thanks Tara.   If you do give it a try, I'd be curious to hear how it goes.

I remember that picture.  Is it hard to get your leg back on a horse that wide, regardless of the saddle/stirrup placement?    I don't know whether I'd be physically capable.

Hmmm - to a certain degree you can... I think this photo (taken during a Dressage test) shows  my leg fairly back (especially compared to the hunting seat above).

And this was taken at a cross country (yep... we got round a two foot course - great fun). It shows the suber pad under the wintec dressage saddle, plus my leg position with my stirrups up a couple of holes.

Please excuse the body protector - it's ancient and makes me look huge!!

It just goes to show how much your position is affected by the saddle, Tara.  Those photos look great.   I love the cross country one - you two look like you are having a great time.   He looks to be really enjoying himself!

Thanks for the pic of the suber too - it doesn't look so obtrusive under a treed saddle, when you see it in action compared to just saddled up.   Smiley
