So What Did You, I Mean Your Horse Get?

Every year the vast majority of gifts I get go straight to the barn, this year Lance got a 20 lb. bag of carrots , a new mounting block, 101 dressage exercises, The Complete Training of Horse and Rider by Alois Podhajsky, and 101 Dressage Exercises for Horse & Rider by Jec Aristotle Ballou.  I also got a dressage calander from my brothers, they don't know anything about horses so there are some pics in there that I would rather tear out, but love is about putting it up, even if one is Anky.

In all honesty he could care less about the books but how many of your gifts will be for your horsies?

Well where do i start  :lol:  brushing boots, new water bucket, apples, brush, tail protector, eye wipes, head collar and lead rope, weight tape, books, a coat for me which i wouldnt need if i didnt have her  :lol:  o well shes worth it!!

I got four new tyres for the car!

My horsey got a super thick rambo under rug with a full neck, a thick padded full saddle cover with shoulder strap for shows and some oster brushes... he also got most of my birthday presents a few weeks ago which included a rambo exercise sheet and some stable wraps..

I got an albion padded bridle, mountain horse riding jacket, a joules fluffy hat, some gloves, some long ariat boots and a neck warmer.

Aside from that I got some nice cosmetics, some choccies, desperate housewives season 2 on dvd and a new feather pillow and duvet because my old one had become all flat and squished.

Blimey I'd better not let onto Dolly that she's been neglected this year! All she got was a Saxon stable rug (was on sale!) and a Likit...although I have spent over £200 on vet and Bowen for her this month...

Ebby recieved (well, she hasn't got one yet!) 2 new turnout rugs   Though as it has been so mild I wonder if she'll ever wear them!

Every horse on the yard recieved a gift from Santa - an apple and a carrot in a bag with ribbon on and a note saying Merry Christmas   The horses were most pleased!!!

Lovely whitney stripe rambo fleece rug, rambo fleece exercise sheets, and with the money i got given I'm going to buy him a new hanging cheek snaffle as well as maybe a sheepskin half pad or a new stubben bridle.

Well, I got a new Wintec bridle, 30% off!    Was working at PetSmart distribution center and they get 30% off on Dec. 4 & 5 so my buddy ordered it for me.  Alas, has same fitting problems as every other off-the-rack bridle, caveson and browband are too small.  Caveson will probably fit once the yak hair is gone, although maybe a bit too snugly, but will have to see if I can order a larger browband.  One of these days I'm going to treat myself to a custom bridle, be it leather or synthetic.  I also got three (!!!) horse calendars and a Lord of the Rings calendar, and three days ago I just bought myself a "Studs N Spurs" calendar, which is NOT going, so....  I guess I'll really know which day it is!  :lol:   Plus a lot of Barnes & Noble gift cards, so guess I'm getting horsey books too!  Too bad I can't use them for the Anja book.  And the honey bought me My Friend Flicka as I didn't have my own copy, as well as the older movie and the older Thunderhead movie.  He's such a dear.     Lady will be getting her real pressies in a few weeks when the chiropractor comes out, and in a few months when hopefully I can get a Fhoenix and/or a Barefoot Nevada.  Sadly, no carrots or apples for the girl, can't risk the lami.  But she got some extra sunflower seeds.

Molly's getting a new saddle (with all the trimmings) once Nursey's go back to work after the holidays (and assuming the post hasn't lost the paperwork.....).  Hope she appreciates it.  I did ask for that for christmas, but you can imagine the reaction....

I got new breeches, shirt, stock pin, leather gloves, hair nets.. all I need is a new jacket which doesn't fit!

I also bought myself Heathers book just before Christmas.
He will also be getting some new Fhoenix panels, some sheepskin numnahs and a new bit in Jan!

Me and the horses did so well!! TC & Crofter got a field shelter, (which has no roof at present it was started the day before Christmas Eve and DH has downed tools since!!) They also got a Likit thing that is like a football and spins as they try to lick for the shelter and some herbal treats.

From DH I got a Drizabone Town & Country long riding coat and a Jacuru leather hat, Pippa Funnell's autobiography and "Take The Reins" PC game. He also got me some jeans; a blingy ring; a Russell Brand (I        Russell Brand!!); I asked for a Russell (Brand) calendar and DH did indeed (deliberately) get me a Russell calendar - Jack Russell    :lol: !!  

The rest of the family got me Clarins Eau Dynamisante set; a fab "Baker Boy" hat; Liz Collinge skincare; ornamental perfume bottle (which I collect); a beautiful enamaled mirror; Jamie Olivier cookbook; 2 x bejeweled hair accessories; chocolates; 2 x tops; bubble bath; George Michael "25" CD. Also, a Rose Quartz crystal, amethyst bracelet and silver tricket box from my dear friend.

Blimey, I did sooooooo well!!  :blush:
