Hi, I have the italian leather flaps and use my leathers under the flap rather than over it.  It works out really well, and no slide marks.  It would probably work best with Heather's stirrup design - that's my next present to me

I have butt leather flaps (with a suberpanel), and I use normal leathers (with the buckle at the top :blink: ) I tend to find that the suede of my chaps rubs the flap a bit, but it polishes out nicely with Hammanol and elbow grease (and believe me, I am NOT anal about cleaning my tack  :blush: much to my shame   )
