My friend's getting a Barefoot London but there aren't any Grandeur pads to be had for love nor money at the moment. are there any other pads that are suitable for using under these saddles???

Thanks

I have used my Barnsby grip pad in emergancy's --- though I don't advise in investing in one now as the waiting times for them are usually large as well!

Horse and Harmony say they have the pads in stock on the website?

It's not dressage saddle shaped, but the Haf pad from www.goldfinch-endurance.co.uk is very good. It has pockets for extra shims, has a wool fleece underside and airnet material on top, only comes in black atm. I've found it totally non-slip under treeless saddles on the widest roundest cob in the world (IMO!). It's £70 and the shims are about £16 from memory.

Oh the Haf pad sounds hopeful.
apparently some are due in soon, but its simply so my friend can get on and have a go until one turns up. I bought one of the ergopads earlier this year (the prototype of the suberpad) and was thinking about suggesting she try that.

cheers

There's also this on abay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-BROWN-TREELESS-S...tem110068626559

which looks like a Grandeur. Just be careful as he uses identical photos to the Barefoot saddles to advertise his own make of treeless so check that the photo is taken of the actual pad for sale. If so it looks like a bargain.

Hi Phillipa,

Tell your friend that I will sell her my Grandeur pad and foam insets.  Its royal blue and is the full pad, not the dressage shape. I used it when I trialled a London and its fine size wise.
It will be coming from Ireland so not sure if that will suit her?

Pm me if she is interested.

Cheers

boht the ergopad and a polypad will be far too short - the london is the same length as the cheyenne, and i've tried both; and you'd need more padding for the polypad.

if she has a geleze pad, they're the right lenght (at least mine is)
