OK - so I STILL haven't decided how much I believe in it all, although some of Mal's communication was uncannily accurate Shocked  but I decided to take heed of it anyway - afterall, there's no point asking questions and getting answers unless you're going to act on it!

So - we did a pleasure ride yesterday, and I have lost my confidence a bit jumping recently due to Mal rushing full pelt into the jumps Shocked  but I was advised that he felt confident when I felt confident - so......

We got to the first jump and I said "Right Mal, WE can do this - its only small.  Take it steady - I;m with you!".  So he did a couple of trot strides, three lovely little canter strides (NO tanking) and popped the fence, then pulled up easily 3 strides later.  UNHEARD OF from my ex-hurdler!!!

That was it - we jumped EVERYTHING!  And despite nearly falling off at one (due to Mal not lifting his front legs high enough  rolleyes ) we jumped really well.  He didn't tank, he went really nicely and popped them.  I was unstoppable after that!

So - whether you believe it or not, it has had a good effect because it has helped my confidence, which in turn has helped Mal's confidence!

I've also put more shavings in his bed......and we had classical music on in the lorry which he seemed to like as he travelled very quietly indeed (had to keep checking the camera to make sure he was still there) - and he had the nicest, rose-smelling tail at the ride. wink

Hi Deb,
I've had AC reports done by two AC's and I contacted the same lady as your last week.
I'm hitching to see what he says to her and to compare notes.
It would be wonderful if I could get into his head that there is NO need to tank in canter outside; the more he'll do it, the less we'll go out! angry

Hi Deb  Cheesy
Well *I* do believe animals communicate with us - all the time.  And *I* do believe that there are some gifted people out there that can communicate at a very high level with animals.

But, whatever the case, you are doing no harm putting these few things into practice and have everything to gain Smiley

Fantastic Deb!  And that's what matters most . . . the fact that you are getting good things out of the reading and it is improving the relationship between you and Mal.  It doesn't matter whether Catherine was 100 per cent accurate, 50 per cent accurate, or whatever . . . what matters is that YOU and MAL improve your relationship because of it.  Great stuff - well done!!

I'm having trouble contacting Pea Horsley for our reading  :(   I keep sending emails to her and they keep bouncing back as undeliverable.  It has been like this since 5th December.  I've finally sent an email to her PayPal email address instead of the @animalthoughts.com one in hopes that gets through, as I've already paid for the reading!

It is very interesting how much more aware you become though after having these readings.  I am now constantly looking and listening to my horses and although I don't always get it right, I do try hard.  Yesterday I distinctly got a message, in telepathic pictures, from our ID mare that she wanted a straw bed put down in the barn shelter.  I dismissed it at first thinking that they'd never use the bed if I put it down, they'd still choose to sleep outside in the field, but I put the deep straw bed down nonetheless this morning.  The mare looked at me, dropped her head into my hands [her way of saying yes or thank you] and gave one huge great sigh and sank down into the straw bed to rest!  Benny my little Fell followed . . . I could hardly believe it.  I'd got the communication right!  It's a great feeling when that happens and you know you've taken heed of their requests.

The odd thing is, that I've done a few XC with Mal and we do ok, but its my confidence - if I haven't done it for a while I get scared to do it! rolleyes

Anyway - we're on a roll now, I am going to be more positive and that will make Mal more poisitive and we will do lots of positive things together!
