OK - so I STILL haven't decided how much I believe in it all, although some of Mal's communication was uncannily accurate

but I decided to take heed of it anyway - afterall, there's no point asking questions and getting answers unless you're going to act on it!
So - we did a pleasure ride yesterday, and I have lost my confidence a bit jumping recently due to Mal rushing full pelt into the jumps

but I was advised that he felt confident when I felt confident - so......
We got to the first jump and I said "Right Mal, WE can do this - its only small. Take it steady - I;m with you!". So he did a couple of trot strides, three lovely little canter strides (NO tanking) and popped the fence, then pulled up easily 3 strides later. UNHEARD OF from my ex-hurdler!!!
That was it - we jumped EVERYTHING! And despite nearly falling off at one (due to Mal not lifting his front legs high enough

) we jumped really well. He didn't tank, he went really nicely and popped them. I was unstoppable after that!
So - whether you believe it or not, it has had a good effect because it has helped my confidence, which in turn has helped Mal's confidence!
I've also put more shavings in his bed......and we had classical music on in the lorry which he seemed to like as he travelled very quietly indeed (had to keep checking the camera to make sure he was still there) - and he had the nicest, rose-smelling tail at the ride.
