What are they trying to pull???? I was cruising around on the web and came across an equestrian vacation site.  One of the things they have is Classical lessons with Soto!  This is the biggest joke I have ever seen he has no business being on a horse at all!  A while ago we had a discussion about the Sydney olympics and some of the "riders" that were there.  Why, oh why, oh why, do people try and pass off as being classical when they are clearly not!  They call us outdated and stuck in the past but they seem to have no qualms about throwing the word around to promote themselves. angry Argh!
its okay, rant over, I'm done. Smiley

I have to agree with Mary- Rafael Soto is actually one of the nicest guys on the international dressage circuit, but I hate the way he rides. I have some video of him at the Sicab show in Spain, doing a pas de deux with one of the other riders from Jerez, and Sotos legs come off the stallions sides by a good foot to 18 inches, at each sitting trot stride. It is so ugly, and about as far removed from my perception of 'Classical' as the Earth is from Mars :( .

... they also advertise one riding holiday in Portugal. Never saw them live... but one time the were on TV and hated them.... two guys forcing and pulling the horses in to piaffé during all the show... the horses had the most unhappy faces... and the most disgraceful piaffé.

How can this be adverted in the same site with Rafael Soto?
